No, you will not be a student of Newcastle University and will not be entitled to any associated benefits.

Do I get a Newcastle University qualification or award as a result of taking a Short Online Course? Down

No, the Short Online Courses offered are non-accredited and confer no Newcastle University credits or award. Any certificate provided is a Certificate of Completion, to indicate you have undertaken the course only.

Are the courses for UK-based learners only? Down

No, learners from around the world are welcome to take our courses. The suitability and relevance of the content for an international audience will vary though, and you should pay close attention to the Course Description. All courses are in English.

I'm a Healthcare Professional. Can I use these courses towards my CPD requirements? Down

Yes. In some cases, the course will have been accredited by the relevant professional body for a number of CPD points, to make recording your CPD activity more straightforward.

Why do these courses incur VAT (Valued Added Tax)? Down

CPD courses which are 'electronically supplied' must charge VAT in the country where the learner is. The VAT rate and amount will be shown in your shopping cart before checkout. The tax obligation for people buying on behalf of an organisation is slightly different, and will also be shown during checkout.

How do I download my Certificate of Completion? Down

When you complete a course you will be able to print and save the certificate, and you will also have a copy emailed to you. If you misplace this, you can re-download your certificate: 1. Log in at moodle.ncl.ac.uk using the details you registered with. 2. Navigate to the dashboard on the left hand menu. 3. Select the title of the course you completed. 4. Click on Certificate of Completion and then click the Download Certificate button.
