Human Tissue Act (Research Sector) Training
Course Information
The Human Tissue Act short online course is suitable for anyone working with human tissue in the research sector in England, Wales or Northern Ireland. It's designed for staff and students at all levels in university, hospital and industry settings. It can be used to train new starters, or as a refresher for existing staff. Topics include:
- Why do we need regulations?
- Licensing
- Relevant materials
- Consent
- Obtaining tissue for research
- Ensuring compliance
- Sample management: transfer, storage, use & disposal.
The course will take around 2 hours to complete. You will be able to download a Certificate of Completion upon finishing the course.
