Supervision training for Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners

Course Information

This 4-day training workshop will enable you to supervise Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners (PWPs) who are delivering low intensity CBT in clinical settings. It is designed to educate new supervisors to the profession, and existing PWPs on the most up to date clinical competencies required by those practicing low intensity CBT as per the British Psychological Society (BPS), and the British Association for Cognitive and Behavioural Psychotherapies (BABCP) standards. This will support your development as a PWP supervisor in exercising normative and formative aspects of clinical supervision. The training workshop will train you in the supervisory competencies and practices to safely and effectively deliver clinical supervision. These include the development and monitoring of supervisory relationships, how to practice supervision functions (formative, normative and restorative), exercising a supervision model in your practice to ensure fidelity of supervision processes, managing ethical and process issues in supervision, and equity, diversity and inclusion practices in supervision. By the end of the training will you will achieved the necessary training and competence to practice as a supervisor, and as such, offers excellent progression opportunities in your clinical career.
