Course Information
Throughout the 3-day course, participants delve into a comprehensive curriculum blending theoretical knowledge and hands-on practice. The theory components encompass vital topics such as ethical aspects of human measurement, anatomy, body composition analysis, somatotype, and statistics. Practical sessions involve mastering the measurement techniques of a Restricted Profile, including stature, mass, eight skinfolds, five girths, and two breadths. These skills align with the rigorous standards set by ISAK, ensuring accurate and reliable assessments.
Participants will learn to apply these measurements to diverse needs, ranging from tracking growth and maturation to supporting talented athletes, evaluating health status, and assessing the impact of exercise and nutrition interventions.
The assessment process includes demonstrating precision in conducting a Restricted Profile assessment, evaluated based on intra-tester and inter-tester reliability. Additionally, participants are required to submit evidence of post-course skill development by completing 20 profiles within a 4-month period, showcasing their anthropometric skills in real-world scenarios.
Upon successful completion of the course, participants gain Level 1 accreditation and membership in ISAK. This accreditation signifies expertise in anthropometric assessment and adherence to international standards.
