Newcastle University - Coping with Uncertainty in Everyday Situations (NU-CUES)

Newcastle University - Coping with Uncertainty in Everyday Situations (NU-CUES, formerly titled “CUES”) is parent group programme for parents of autistic children experiencing anxiety.

We will be providing training on how to deliver the NU-CUES programme and support parents of autistic children and young people experiencing anxiety due to difficulties with uncertainty. The NU-CUES intervention programme supports parents in gaining confidence in their ability to recognise and manage their child's difficulties with uncertainty through group learning opportunities. You will be required to attend two training workshops. Following attendance at both of the workshops we will provide you with:

The NU-CUES Therapist Manual (pdf version)

  1. PowerPoint slides for the 8 therapy sessions (electronic version)
  2. All corresponding handouts and worksheets for parents (as pdfs)
  3. A copy of the Uncertain Situations semi-structured interview (as a pdf)
  4. A certificate of attendance
