Chinese Proficiency (HSK) Course 4A
Who is the HSK4A course suitable for?
The HSK4A course is intended for individuals who have already completed our HSK3C course or have a minimum of 140 hours of Chinese learning experience. After finishing this course, your Chinese vocabulary will reach 800 words.
What textbook is used in this course?
The textbook used in this course is "HSK Standard Course 4" and over the ten-week program, we will cover the content of Lessons 1 to 7.
What will you gain from the HSK4A course?
Communication skills
At the end of the HSK4A course, you'll be able to:
- talk about complex topics such as love, marriage, and friendship
- express more complex views, such as views on money or consumption
- talk about more abstract topics such as beauty in life, or standards of happiness
Language knowledge
Chinese associative words
You'll learn lots of Chinese associative words, and be able to understand the logical relationship between clauses and clauses.
Chinese sayings
You'll learn more Chinese sayings and the words involved in these sayings are learned in the HSK1, HSK2, HSK3(A), and HSK3(B) courses.
New words
This course will select the learned characters as morphemes, and generate new words from these learned characters with their morpheme meaning changed. This will further improve your ability to form new words.
Culture experience
During this course, you will:
- gain the cultural knowledge contained in Chinese sayings
- gain cultural knowledge about traditional Chinese clothing, Chinese people’s understanding of colours, and Taichi
- try Chinese traditional clothing and learn how to play Taich
