The HSKK is conducted as an audio-recorded exam.

HSKK Primary is mainly designed for candidates who have been learning Chinese at a pace of 2-3 lessons per week for one to two semesters and have mastered around 200 of the most used words.
The HSKK Primary consists of three sections, totalling 27 questions. The examination duration is 20 minutes, including 7 minutes of preparation time.
Test Start Time (All local times): 16:30.
Achieving a full score entails earning 100 points, while a cumulative score of 60 or above qualifies as a passing mark. The HSKK scores are valid for two years, starting from the test date.
