Course Description
Join Lawnmowers Research Abilities for a lively session exploring inclusive research through their unique Qualitree approach.
Discover how this team of learning-disabled researchers creatively uses the arts to make research more accessible—not just through PPI, but through genuine co-production. They’ll take you on a full journey from research design to dissemination, showing you how they break down barriers and bring fresh perspectives to the world of research.
Expect practical tools like jargon buzzers and commicards, real-life examples of co-led projects, and innovative ways to run inclusive workshops, unlock deeper focus group responses, and create memorable research outputs with lasting impact.
This isn’t just about working with people with learning disabilities—it’s about making research more engaging, accessible, and relevant to everyone. Along the way, you’ll gain insight into learning-disabled culture and why it matters in shaping better, more inclusive practices.
We’ll wrap up with our top five tips for truly inclusive research—and yes, there’ll be fun, games, videos, and a guest appearance from the brilliant Dr. Sarah Bellum!
Come along and see research through a whole new lens.
