Eligibility Criteria
This programme is open to people and organisations based in the North East and North Cumbria, as well as those from the following organisations:
- NIHR Biomedical Research Centre (BRC)
- NIHR Applied Research Collaboration (ARC)
- NIHR Innovation Observatory (IO)
- NIHR Research Support Service (RSS)
- NIHR Policy Research Unit (PRU)
- NIHR Research Delivery Network (RDN)
- NIHR HRC in Diagnostic and Technology Evaluation (HRC)
Learning Outcomes
At the end of the module, a learner will be able to:
- Understand intersectionality
- Consider their Public Contributors’ multiple social identities
- Understand the benefits the time to find the right team
- Have an awareness of our ‘rear view mirror’ as researchers
- Consider bias in study designs
- Understand the extra resources in reaching the margins
- Being to power, positionality, and safety
- Be introduced to the concept of cultural humility
